What Is Pay-Per-Click? With a
Pay Per Click (PPC) program, you pay only when someone clicks through from the
search engine to your Web site. You set the maximum
cost-per-click that you are willing to pay and the monthly total
you are willing to pay. Consequently, you can cap
the amount of money you spend. It's not a completely bottomless pit
because you set limits.
We do
not manage PPC programs.
Pay Per Click Positions
To see where pay-per-click positions appear in Google and Yahoo, click on the two links below. The areas on the screen shots outlined in orange are where the 'sponsored' (pay-per-click) listings appear. The position of each URL within the lists depends on how much the site owner is willing to pay to get to the top.

The Benefit of PPC
The benefit
of a PPC program is that you can get listed quickly.
If you are in a big hurry to get results, think about combining a PPC program with our
positioning/optimization program. When you see the
optimization program paying off, then discontinue the PPC
program.
You can think
of it as leasing vs. buying. If you need short term help in
your office you 'lease' a temp worker. If you need long term
assistance, you hire ('buy') an employee.

The Risk of PPC
While all of
the folks offering PPC programs claim they have protection
against fraudulent click-throughs (someone clicking over and
over again to drain your account), many people in the PPC
industry recommend that you implement additional safeguards to
protect yourself. One such highly regarded program is

As with all external links we provide, this is not a
recommendation on our part. It is simply a research aid for
you to help you find your own sources for safeguarding your
PPC campaign.
Despite what the search engine GURUs say, we have found in some instances that pay-per-click campaigns interfere with the results for organic positioning to depress organic rankings.
If You Still Want To Do a PPC
Program...
You should
do your homework first. The two most popular places to run
your PPC campaign(s) are:

Creating and Managing Your
Google Campaign
Before you
consider a Google AdWords campaign, you should purchase and
read Andrew Goodman's e-book,
Google AdWords: 21 Pay-Per-Click
Campaign Secrets Your Competition Doesn't Know.
Creating and managing an AdWords
campaign is very complex and labor intensive. It takes a lot
of tweaking to get it right. We do not create and manage PPC
programs at Sizzlingseo.com, but we do recommend that you
research the Internet to find a qualified professional to do
the management for you.
Template Web Sites
While a few
template sites built using database technology are suitable
for positioning, most are not due to the way they have been
constructed. For those your only real
option is PPC.
Please note:
adding a Sizzling Studios database to one of their custom
sites does not negatively affect your search engine
positioning since the database is simply an add-on, not the
entire site.
